I am an Alaskan girl born and raised. After several years in Health and Human Services I decided that it was time for a change and attended esthetician school at The Academy of Hair Design in 2007. Coupled with 3 years of study at UAA in Anatomy, Physiology, and Nutrition, my knowledge of the skin and body is exceptional. I believe that I have the best of it all now, working with clients to nurture and beautify their bodies. I believe in inclusive care and want to help my clients achieve their goals through whole health of body mind and spirit. I believe strongly in the power of community and strive to help those around me by networking skill to skill and business to business. I look forward to building a lasting relationship with every one of my clients, and giving the best service you have ever received! |

The Skin Bar has a very calm and comfortable atmosphere. Opel is a friendly, well-trained professional, clearly committed to the best possible outcome for her clients. I only went in for a waxing - which was as great as a wax can be. Opel was straightforward,gentle, and effective. She then had the courage to question my hair, which was completely destroyed at a salon the day before. I felt as though I had true, sincere attention from all the employees. Christina did a fabulous job with my hair. My favorite part: this is the type of place you enter without worrying who will be helping you...and - I didn't hear any gossip! WOO!
